Americký basketbalový tým "Southern Illinois" je tým univerzitního basketbalu mužů, který reprezentuje Southern Illinois University v Carbondale v Illinois. Tým soutěží v Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) divize I National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Domácí zápasy hraje tým v Banterra Center v Carbondale.

Tým Southern Illinois byl založen v roce 1945. Je jedním z nejúspěšnějších týmů v historii MVC, s 23 tituly v základní části a 12 tituly turnajovými. Tým také 10krát hrál v turnaji NCAA, naposledy v roce 2007.

Hlavním trenérem týmu Southern Illinois je Bryan Mullins, který byl najat v roce 2017. Mullins předtím trénoval na Murray State University a Wright State University.

Současný tým Southern Illinois vede seniorský strážce Lance Jones, juniorský útočník Marcus Domask a juniorský strážce Dalton Banks. Tým je považován za jednoho z favoritů na zisk titulu MVC v roce 2023.
