Scheveningse Voetbal Vereniging Scheveningen is an association football club from Scheveningen, a district of The Hague, Netherlands. The club was founded 1 July 1919. It is currently playing in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of football in the Netherlands.
They play at the Houtrust Scheveningen.
History
Between 1954 and 1971 the club played professional football under the names SHS and Holland Sport.
The club was selected by the French sports newspaper L'Équipe to participate in 1955–56 European Cup, but declined to do so.
The biggest success in the club's history was the overall amateur title in 1996. Martin Jol was the team manager at that time.
Scheveningen je nizozemský fotbalový klub ze Scheveningenu v Haagu. Hraje v Eerste Divisie, druhé nejvyšší nizozemské fotbalové soutěži. Klub byl založen v roce 1919 a jeho domácím hřištěm je Sportpark Houtrust.
Scheveningen vyhrál národní titul v roce 1944, ale titul nebyl udělen kvůli probíhající druhé světové válce. Klub hrál v Eredivisie, nejvyšší nizozemské fotbalové soutěži, od roku 1949 do roku 1954. Poté hrál v Eerste Divisie až do roku 1968, kdy byl přeřazen do Tweede Divisie.
V roce 2011 se Scheveningen vrátil do Eerste Divisie a od té doby tam hraje. Klub je známý svou silnou mládežnickou akademií, která vyprodukovala mnoho talentovaných hráčů, jako jsou Wesley Sneijder a Robin van Persie.
