The Fairfield Stags women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I.
History
Fairfield began play in 1973, with the first varsity season being in 1974, and the first Division I season being in 1981. They have won the MAAC title in 1988, 1991, and 1998, with regular season titles in 1990, 1991
Americký basketbalový tým „Fairfield ženy“ soutěží v NCAA Divize I, v konferenci Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Tým je veden trenérkou Sue Dowlingovou, která je u kormidla od roku 2003. Fairfield kvinnor se pyšní silnou tradicí úspěchů, když se pravidelně umisťují ve vrchních patrech své konference a postupují do turnaje NCAA. Mezi jejich největší úspěchy patří vítězství v konferenci MAAC v letech 2009 a 2011 a postup do druhého kola turnaje NCAA v roce 2011. Tým Fairfield ženy má silný základní kádr hráček, včetně první střelkyně Angel Cestové a obránkyně Kristin Maizziové. V roce 2022/23 se Fairfield ženy snaží o další úspěšnou sezónu a postup do turnaje NCAA.
